Dangerous Goods Fire Advice Applications

Who must request fire authority advice?

Premises that store Dangerous Goods (DGs) in quantities that exceed ‘manifest’ quantity must apply for written advice on their emergency plan from the state fire authority. Safety Action finds this requirement is frequently overlooked.

The authority may provide advice and recommendations on the site emergency plan, fire protection and DG emergency information book and DG manifest. We will provide more details about DG manifest and emergency information books in the next newsletter.
